Round chips cut to the outline of a fresh pita go into the oven twice, and that second bake is where the hard crunch comes from. The dough is enriched wheat flour with a share of fermented wheat flour, a little organic honey and malted barley flour. Sea salt is the only seasoning, so the bread flavor stays in front.
A serving runs about 11 chips, and the 8 oz bag holds about eight of them. Each carries 190 mg of sodium, the lowest of the four pita flavors in the aisle. The label lists wheat and warns that the chips may contain milk and soy. Kosher certification is printed on the bag.
