Aplenty by price per ounce: what an ounce of each snack costs
A shelf price tells you what a package costs. It does not tell you what you get for it, and in a line where the bags run from about two ounces to twenty-two, that second number is the one that compares. The National Institute of Standards and Technology calls unit pricing one of the most effective tools a shopper has for comparing products sold at different prices in different pack sizes.
At our last update the cheapest ounce in the Aplenty line was Aplenty Riced Cauliflower Stir Fry at $0.27, and the dearest was Aplenty Truffle Cheese Crisps at $1.36, about 5 times as much. The full order is below, counted on the cheapest size of each product.

Why a small bag costs more per ounce
Compare two bags from the same aisle. Aplenty Cheddar Cheese Crisps comes in a 2.11 oz bag at $2.87, or $1.36 an ounce. Aplenty Parmesan, Garlic & Herb Pita Chips comes in an eight-ounce bag at $3.04, which is $0.38 an ounce. Shelf prices that sit close together hide an ounce that costs several times more.
That is not a verdict on either snack. Cheese crisps are almost all cheese, and a small bag of a rich food is a different purchase from a big bag of a light one. Unit price tells you what an ounce costs; what an ounce is worth to you is your call.

When a multi-pack is worth it
7 products in the guide come in more than one size. At our last update 4 of them cost the same per ounce in the bigger pack, and the rest saved a little. The table puts the single unit next to the largest pack.

A pack that costs the same per ounce is a convenience, not a saving: you pay for fewer clicks and more in the pantry. Buy it when you know you will finish the tins before they go stale, not because the box looks like a deal.
How to use the yellow square
- Read the unit price first, then the flavor. Within one aisle it ranks every size on the same scale.
- Compare like with like. An ounce of frozen orange chicken and an ounce of chocolate are not the same purchase, even when the square puts them side by side.
- Check the servings line too. The Nutrition Facts panel counts servings per package, and two bags with the same price per ounce can hold very different numbers of servings.
- Prices move. Our figures are from the last update; the product page at checkout has the final word.
